Heavenly Father, I surrender my son’s life into Your hands. Not my will, but Yours be done in him. Lead him exactly where You want him to go and use him just as You see fit. I trust that Your plan for him is better than anything I could imagine.

50. Prayer for an Eternal Perspective

This final prayer asks that a son would live with eternity in view, realizing that this life is temporary and our true home is with God.

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Prayer

Lord, give my son an eternal perspective. Help him to live for what lasts and not just for the moment. May he store up treasures in heaven and keep his eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith, until the day he sees You face to face. Amen.
